This will either kick much boo-tay or the cheese will choke ya but I can't wait to see it either way. Go Indy.

Happy St. Valentine's Day!
I got The Bean all jazzed up on chocolate and then decided to take some pictures- you can tell she's jazzed by the over the top smiles that I just love.
We are wishing you all chocolate and snuggles. Lord knows, we are getting our fair share around here today. Life is good.

Operation Cheer Up The Bean
Yesterday, we woke up to a bleak and rain filled world. The wind was howling and the rain was pounding against the windows, even when the rain would let up for a minute, we had great plops of rain dripping down form the moss all over our trees. It really was one of those dark, need the lights on at 9 am kind of days.
I always do some deep cleaning on these kinds of days so after we got up, read three books, had a little snuggle and breakfast, I geared up and went to work. Bean started playing about me and around the house so, all was well. Then about 30 minutes later, Bean looked at me and says (now let me say this whole time we were talking and joking so she was NOT being ignored), " Mama I'm just going up to my room". I tell her okay and to let me know if she needs anything. Well, 20 minutes later, I was completely engrossed in cleaning the keyboard for the computer, I realize that she is quiet up there and that I can hear sniffling.
I creeped up the steps and looked into her room. The sight I saw twisted my heart into a pretzyl. Bean was standing at her window, the one with all of the stuffed animals, she was holding her Pony and she was watching the rain and quietly weeping. I went into her room , picked her up and started rocking her and trying to figure out why she was crying. The nearest that I can figure is.... that it was just the rain making her sad! She wasn't upset about anything particular- she finally said "it's all this rain, I just don't know".
I launched "Operation Cheer Up The Bean". This included a complete halt of all and any forward motion on the cleaning front, a Brunch of Mama's Super Duper Rainy Day French Toast that Bean helped make, a late morning puzzle marathon, and then general silliness. Sometime during the festivities, the rain stopped and the sun came out a bit but I like to think that it was her Mama's intervention that helped Bean out of her slump. It's funny to me that a three year old can be affected by the rain,I mean I get a bit sad on rainy days (thus the weird cleaning) but I never expected to see a little one made sad by a rainy day.
So here are a couple of pics of Bean eating her French Toast......
We will have some Valentine's stuff a bit later on today.

Hormones and Not Much Else
OK. I am a raging beast. Yes the hormones are getting the best of me today. Plus there is not much happening to keep me distracted.
Well, Les came home after a 3 day duty and he took over the Monkey Wrangling for me so I could indulge in some sleeping in and some alone time. It was very nice and much needed, when I am sane again I will remember to give him a big smooch and hug for being so nice. (Now that I think of it, he could probably sence my mood from a half a block away and he was just trying to keep the family safe)
Right now however, I am going to shut myself in a room and crochet so that I am not making my family suffer through my bad mood.
One thing that I have learned. Do not attmept to look for a new home- even if it is on the internet- when you are in this mood. Bad ju ju. Do not go there. Oh! and a lesson learned in past hormaone storms? Do not attempt to color your hair either.
I will be back with more Bean news when Mama Jeckyll goes away....

Butter Bean Reads
This is one of Bean's favorite books now. We got it for her at Christmas, it was one that Les enjoyed when he was young. She is actually getting the highlights of each page if you don't know the jist of this book.
