Ev's new favorite movie is Forbidden Kingdom. It has Jackie Chan, Jet Li, The Monkey King, chics that are witches and chics that are good at Gung Fu, beautiful scenes of rural China. What's not to love? Actually this is one that we don't mind watching over and over with her- it is quite good.
She has been mad for Gung Fu lately because of it. She takes her swords and shuts her door and practices her stances and strikes in front of her mirror. She uses her art easle as a training dummy and punches it repeatedly. She jumps and has different stances for the different styles. She loves the character Sparrow and will quote Sparrow's lines as she is fighting her Papa. Papa by the way, says that she is getting so good that he actually has to pay attention and dodge or block her strikes for real- lest he suffer a blow in his "man region".
I tell him that he should just help her with her fairy mosaics then he wouldn't have to worry and I wouldn't be looking for a Gung Fu class for her.
Neither one of them think that making sticker mosaics is as fun as beating each other up with foam swords. I wonder why?
