A summary

OK Thanksgiving was pretty good for us. For the first time in years I got to have my Mom's stuffing ( I make mine using her recipe but hers is always better), in case you don't know that woman makes the best stuffing/dressing ever. Period. The best dressing in the Universe! Our turkey was soaked in a brine overnight and then roasted and it was delicious. My friend Jodi came down to have dinner with us. I got to see my sister and nephew. And I got to be there for my Grandma's 74th birthday. the visit with my family was nice and we even had a dance party one evening. I did have to get Evelyn to the ER one night (the picture with Melissa and Ev is the two of them either just plain goofing off or plotting which medical supplies they were going to steal next). Evelyn was fine but I had a few scary minutes, turns out that gas pockets hurt kids as much as they do adults. All in all it was a good time and I am glad that I braved the 15 hour drive to be there.
We are home now and looking forward to getting the Christmas decorations out. Evelyn is truly excited for Christmas this year. Everyday something happens that lets me see just how much this kid loves Chritmas. Before we left for Ohio she was walking around the house with a puzzled expression and muttering to herself a bit so I asked what was up. Her reply? "Well, I just can't figure out how the hell Santa is going to get in this house" HA! Then today, we were out shopping and a Christmas song came on that she liked and I had to wait right there in the aisle while she danced a jig- to the whole song. She had amassed a bit of a crowd during her shoulder shrugging, booty shaking , head bobbing routine and all I could do was laugh.
