Grandpa and Grandma showed up today to rescue Evelyn from the sick house. I was sorry to see her go but glad that she will be looked after and have other people around while I recover. I know that my Mom just had surgery last week, but I swear she looked better than I do about now. Ev will be there at Grandma's until I go and get her on Friday.
Friday is the day that we are taking Jodi along with The Smokewood Gang and ourselves to kick off Chinese New Year. We are having a Chinese dinner and then going to see a Chinese Acrobatic Show.
So I am off to drink like a bottle of cough syrup and maybe top that off with some whiskey and I am going to lay down and sleep until Friday.
Oh God. Thank you Mom and Dad. I thank you more for Ev's sake than mine but thank you thank you thank you. And Lissa too because she started this whole thing and I know that she has plans to keep Ev busy and happy.
By the way? President Obama? Great speech and he's already hard at work, trying to turn this country around. Good on him. I am proud to have him as our 44th.
