I know that I was right about Ev's current emotional state.
I knew at the time I wrote that last post.
Confirmation is always nice though.
As many of you know, Ev is not typical. Not in any way and certainly not in the way that most adopted kids are. She hardly ever brings up the subject on her own.
Tonight she did.
We were driving through Cleveland ( on our way to Grease at the Palace Theater- but that's another post) our tummies full of Sushi.
Out of the blue, Evelyn says "Mama? I am so glad you guys picked me. I wouldn't want anyone else in the whole world to be my mama and papa. I love you guys so much. You are a good mama and papa."
We told her that there was no other girl on the planet that would fit us like she did. That we loved her right back. That she was the absolute best thing that ever happened to us.
"humm." , said she. Then began to sing ......
