Fare Thee Well Lambchoppah

A sad day has struck our home. Lambchoppah is lost. I mean, I think lost in the most permanent way. LC was a gift to Bean from her Aunt Lissa's friend Joanna, she was loved immediately and ferociously and had many adventures with Bean. The Choppah was last seen, that we can remember, an hour away form the house either at a store or a bowling alley. The missing status of the compatriot went un-noticed, I am sorry to say, for over a week, then the three of us all had a sudden sinking feeling and now we know. Bean is quite heartbroken over this, there has been no tears but there has been alot of conversation and hoping, coupled with a desperate house-wide, yard-wide and vehicle-wide searches, also several calls to each of the places that we were at that day. The other thing is that Bean is running thru her animal stash attempting to find a replacement, it's actually very sad. No one can quite live up to The Choppah, they don't hang out of her hand right, they dont get our jokes, they are not as adventurous, they whine more.....
She has two "go to" guys, The Choppah and Pony. Pony has always been the crib guy and not gone on adventures while LC was an on the town kind of gal. So Pony is safe and helping to ease the transition of another animal.
Thanks to Joanna's great memory, we know the brand and I have a replacement lamb ordered but they make them a BIT different now, a different color face and hooves but Hopefully Lambchoppah 2- The Return will ease some of the heartache. I have an idea to ease her into the family with an "introduction" from the predecessor, I just hope it works!

*****UPDATE******OK after I ordered the quasi-lambchop, I found the actual one!! I quickly cancelled that order and ordered the REAL LIVE LAMBCHOPPAH!!!! I am so glad. Now all I have to do is wait, get the package while Bean is napping, scuff her up a bit, hide her under the couch or something and VIOLA! LAMBCHOPPAH IS HOME!! Let's all kep our fingers crossed that the smartest kid in the world doesn't catch on to my deceptions....
