Our Social Worker will be here about 5 pm tomorrow. It's the first visit for the official Home Study Report that she will compile and turn in to our agency to be sent on to China. I thought that I wold not be nervous.
I was wrong.
I am forcing myself not to clean windows and all of the trim work around those windows. I am forcing myself not to run out and rent a steam cleaner for our furniture. I am hoping that once we hide all of the liquor and weapons and have a regularly cleaned house - we'll be good. I am hoping that Evelyn won't blurt out the many curse words that she hears on a daily basis. I am praying that she doesn't drag out a baby doll and start playing "let's give the baby an enema", 'cause you know what? For whatever reason this has become her favorite game to play in the past 72 hours!! I kid you not. OK, Ev has had to have ONE enema in her life, several months ago, and why this is now a game is completely beyond me.
